Westerland is a little town in Germany, situated on the North Sea island Sylt. It's a lovely spot, not very overcrowded at this time of the year, however in contrary to most of the seaside resorts in Poland, full of life even in November.

I don't know why I found this particular stairs so fascinating, but I did. Maybe it was this basket with dried flowers, maybe the light, but I couldn't help taking photos of this entrance.

November, the 1st is a day when we visit cemeteries to lit the candles and remember those who passed away. Beautiful tradition, but I prefer cemeteries without the crowds of people, when they are empty and silent. Whenever I am I try to visit local cemetery, and always find them really beautiful.These pictures were taken in England, Gliwice and Istebna on different occasions.

Gontyna is a charming crescent in Salwator, one of those little streets that look fantastic especially in autumn, and where life slows down a bit.

Another place in Kraków I like very much is Salwator, the area in the west part of the city. I love its wonderful houses built on the hill, gardens, crescents and a bit lazy atmosphere. Of course it wouldn't be Kraków if you weren't be able to find some places of interest there. In the first and the second photo you can see Norbertines' (White Canons) Monastery, and in the last there is a wooden chapel from the XVII century .

Kopiec Kościuszki - Kościuszko Mound

From the fortress, through Bronisława Chapel (top photo) you can enter Kościuszko Mound It's an artificial mound erected in the western part of Krakow. Spiral path leads to the top which makes terrific viewpoint. For more sky click on the photo on the sidebar.

Walking along Piotrkowska you can come across this nice lamplighter completing his duties, or famous Polish pianist Rubinstein, playing inf front of his house. And in the evening you can simply enjoy the atmosphere of the place.

Płock is situated on the Vistula River, and to get to the center from the south you have to cross either the old bridge (in the photos) or the new one. In the city there is also, recently built, pier - nice place for walks.

This charming villa was built in the years 1900 -1902 by Elise Losky in Stronie Ślaskie. Fortunately wasn't completely destroyed during the wars and after war period, and today holds lovely and comfortable hotel and restaurant.
