'Tis indeed a gorgeous building. And it's quite interesting how buildings change depending on the light and the angle of the shot. That's why photography is never precise enough to say it reflects reality. It only reflects the reality of the photographer! :-)

Magnificent architecture, the second image is outstanding!
The first and second photos offer a good chance to see the building at different times of day. I'll bet a mid-day image would be different, too.
