I haven't been there but I remember a wonderful novel I read many years before: The Stars of Eger by the Hungarian author Geza Gardonyi

That building in the last photo must be a church but it looks more like some old Roman forum...I see someone else was taking a pic of it, too!

Dopiero dziś mam więcej czasu i podróżuję sobie z Tobą poprzez alfabet i Europę.
Jaki ciekawy kościół! Nie znajduję dla niego odpowiedników w znanych mi polskich miastach. Powinien być na planie koła, żeby jeszcze bardziej zbliżyć się do rzymskich wzorów. Bardzo ciekawe! Czy wiesz może z jakich lat pochodzi? Byłaś w środku?

I really like this town. That church doesn't look traditional Hungarian to me, but it's really nice!
